Mtunzini Fun Fact: See if you can spot this little wonder. Known as the Notiothemis jonesi, eastern forest watcher, Jones’ forest watcher or eastern elf. It is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae. It is found from South Africa to Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and Zambia (including Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Tanzania). Its natural habitats include pools and swamps in subtropical or tropical forests; absent from lowlands while chilling on twigs or vegetation over the water in dappled light. Very alert and weary, heading to the canopy if disturbed and females are seldom encountered.
